At the start of the game you need to go slow and try and let your disease spread to all of the different countries. It is good to start on the rodent/rat and keep the disease weak as long as you can. Once the disease has spread to every region/country, pump up the lethal abilities your disease and take out everyonce at once with multiple symptoms. Try adding fever and sweating together they are an example of combining symptoms together to increase its deadliness powers. After everyone is infected, only then should you pick up only lethal symptoms. Tip: Look at the newsfeed in the top left corner and when a Flood Happens and you are already infecting that area, make your virus waterborn and it will spread rapidly throughout that region. -If you start out with a symptom like coughing, its worth to spend the points to remove that symptom. This will make your disease easier to spot by the humans and you will not spread as fast, also Pandemic 3 will be coming out soon, stay tuned for more details. You start with a disease that's very low on the radar. Very few symptoms most of the time, and in order to stop it it requires a jump in prevention that most people aren't willing to put up with (who the hell is willing to use dental dams?). Keep the long-term effects low enough and a good carrier can infect dozens and live a long, happy life while doing so. And then, when 80% of the population has this annoying but inconsequential infection, you crank the deadliness up to 11 and kill the planet. |
